Because our administration at the time were a bunch of idiots. No surprise that they all soon lost their jobs.

Just shut up. You literally know nothing about the situation.

Decline in attendance both for the games (by the fans) and in class (by the players)...

From there you have the story about the hottest name in coaching (at that time) giving a verbal agreement to the AD, so forth and so on.

His control of the program was about like a 10 year old child running it. It was complete shite.

He has one good, decent year every now and then.

but for real, their record is only one game better than ours this year and they didn't beat anybody worth a damn.

The one that followed was worse which seemed unfathomable at the time Stan was let go.

Looking at their schedule, they've beaten one, yes one Tournament team.

Yeah, but, we've only beaten Michigan to brag about plus some NIT teams that will get into the tournament due to it being a down year in CBB.

He, like Pel, wasn't ready to coach a big time program.

His players didn't listen to him. You'd often see them either not paying attention during timeouts or flat out talking back. Darion Townes ftw.

He was boring.

his players didn't go to class.

attendance was terrible.

he was a PR hire to begin with.

And Vandy. Heath is an ok coach but UA has higher expectations. We aren't satisfied with mediocrity in bball like the rest of the SEC. We've been in the wilderness a few years but we can see the promised land.

this is a legit question....but a better question is why was Stan Heath hired in the first place ? answer: because Frank Broyles wanted to win the court case brought forth against the UA by Nolan....Frank was so enamored with himself that he figured everything he touched would turn to gold...so Frank hired an inexperienced African American coach from Kent St based on a single Elite 8 run....long story short, Frank won his case but ruined the storied Razorback basketball program for what is going on its second decade....hardly worth it, IMHO

ad: a young Bill Self, then coach at Tulsa, was literally begging for the job, but JFB, in what has turned out to be the biggest faux pas in UA athletic history, turned Bill Self down and instead opted for Stan Heath....unfricknbelievable when you really think about it
