Well they don't necessarily have to jump like rabbits in a game either. It's just interesting to look at their strength in a lift compared to other players in the combine.

I remember that. He had even shot up to 270 llbs as a fullback and there were tons of hype about the guy that year. Our starting RB embarrassed us with the lift that year as well if I'm not mistaken.

It may not be the most functional exercise, but it shows how strong you are at pressing movements. A strong bench = strong chest and strong triceps...which defenintely come in handy when you need to push someone away from you to create seperation.
