you keep reading the Bama-loving press. I'll keep trusting the guys who called Jordan Jenkins and Josh harvey-Clemons months in advance
Feel free to believe some "insider" who probably has never even talked to Foster. We will keep believing quotes directly from Fosters mouth like this one a week ago
quote:
"I knew where I wanted to go," Foster told ESPN's Greg Ostendorf. "My family knew where I wanted to go. They love Alabama. I love Alabama. Plus, who wouldn't want to get coached by Nick Saban and Kirby Smart? They're NFL-style coaches."
The fact he committed early, has stated he's a life long Bama fan and reading interview after interview about how he's recruiting players from your state to come here.

Ok. That is your opinion.

The insider in question helps run high school football camps for kids like Foster and is rather close to the high school programs around the Southwest GA area. He has plenty of credibility.
As for your quote, 1.) Kirby Smart is getting fricked hard by someone if he doesn't get a HC gig next year, and 2.) Grantham and UGA ILB coach Kirk Olivadotti have coached for a combined 21 years in the NFL, unlike Saban and Smart. Not to mention Foster has also stated on multiple occasions that he would love to play with Tray Matthews and Jordan Jenkins. I'm not saying you can bank on him going to UGA or anything, but you are fooling yourself if you don't think we are a very big threat

First rule of recruitniking: Never believe an official word/quote from any verbal commit or prospect.
These are by far the most unreliable of all info. Follow the actions and the buzz surrounding the recruit. There is really no better barometer for how interested a recruit is in your school than how much traffic is on the threads mentioning a name over the course of the year, not just after an official or well-publicized unofficial visit/camp. This rule does apply to the "right" boards, leaving the DawgRant out in the cold. There are a few very reliable UGA boards out there and, if they are talking about a recruit, it is because the recruit is talking to the coaches. It certainly doesn't mean a commit, but it definitely means the interest is there. Oh, and Foster will supposedly be making his way to a JR day in Athens this weekend.
