No doubt. We've got a redneck bachelor on CMT, with Sweet Home Alabama, and you have to have subtitles for all the shows about Louisiana on reality shows at the moment.

I don't see why the bystanders should be punished. Just the sack dragger and the wannabe porno film director camera guy.

They shouldn't. I mean, they should be embarrassed but I can't understand any reason they should be punished by the state or university. Nor should the camera person either. The teabagger is the only one who committed a crime here. The rest should just feel ashamed of how trashy they acted but that is all.

It's funny. A Bama fan can say, "At least we kept it in the SEC," and he deserves a broken jaw, while a drunk corndog picking fights has a scrotum dragged across his face and suddenly there's a flickering of moral outrage from one of the epicenters of human depravity.

If someone had told me this story and asked where I thought it had happened, I'd say either the Tenderloin district in San Fran, or Bourbon St. If it had happened in TTown, they both would have been in jail.

You can say that about every state in the country by the way.

Agree. He's got the south's version of the Zapruder film.

I can, however see Krystal's getting in some shite over this, by allowing a passed out customer remain in the establishment and get abused like that. I mean, 15 feet away were police, all they had to do was, hey.. come get this guy out.

Well, last i checked, there's a difference between decking someone really hard in the face and running and rubbing your bare testicles on an unconscious person before throngs of people in a public street

Might just be me, though

Well no shite, there's only a population difference of about 500,000 between New Orleans and Tuscaloosa

fwiw i said the guy that got hit wasn't innocent. turns out the guy that got teabagged may not have been either. it doesn't mean the people that did both acts to them dont deserve punishment.

also like i said id give 2 shits if we had won. so ill take the moral victory of having a bama fans life ruined if i can.

Has the guy who was teabagged been identified? I don't give a crap how much money that I'd get with the right attorney, but all of the money would not ease my humiliation. FWIW, I heard that the guy was in Krystal for about twelve minutes in that state. If that is true, then how did he start a fight? The local news (channel 8) is showing the video tonight at ten. I can't wait to hear what the reactions will be. Auburn fans will be all over this.

You would have to add more for the event. It's not even about that. Take any city in the country, pack a hundred thousand people into 6 blocks and anything can happen without cops seeing things

I remember crap happening in B'ham after LSU and Bama played at Legion Field. I also saw B'ham as a fricked up city after Auburn and Bama played at Legion Field. Fights, drunks, etc., were happening all of the time. BTW, what makes B'ham better than New Orleans as far as crime rates go? The last time that I checked, B'ham's crime rate is worse than New Orleans. I live in Alabama now, but I would feel safer walking down a street in New Orleans, post Katrina, than I would in that filth of a city called B'ham. Both sides can play this game, but that guy wearing the Bama jersey makes this state and the Bama fans look bad. Friends of mine from all over the country are asking me how it feels to live in a state where the act, displayed in the movie, Deliverence, is an acceptable act. That a-hole confirmed the country's perception of this state as being a total, ignorant, redneck bunch of hicks. I'm stuck here due to marriage. If it wasn't for love, I'd be back in Louisiana.

Who is holding Birmingham up as a pillar of excellence?

Maybe overall crime rate, but Nola's murder rate is the highest in the nation (and ten times the national average).

a bama poster said there weren't any cities that compared to NOLA's crime rate. there happens to be a city in alabama that does, and it ranks in the top 3. in fact, new orleans wasn't even listed.

There is no city that compares to NOLA's murder rate. Overall crime, there are others with a higher rate than NOLA. Hell, Toledo has a higher violent crime rate than NOLA, but NOLA has a murder rate that is 7 times Toledo's.
