Except this is not the case. Miles had an obsession with JJ and that is a fact. It was never an open competition.
If this is the case, I would be REALLY pissed at miles.

Miles had more of an obsession with JJ than he did with Justin Vincent.

I wouldn't say Snead was an "ultimate bust." Dude went 18-8 his two years at Ole Miss.

It won't take much to be better than JJ,that's safe to say. There is no way Miles stubborn arse was going to start him over either senior.

If Miles wouldn't put in a Matthew Stafford because of some kind of loyalty to a player of Jefferson's skill level - who almost fricked up the whole season with his off the field criminal activity btw - then LSU has bigger problems than QB, just like Georgia when they had Stafford.

Let me ask you,Would you have left JJ in that entire game? Would you have not given the kid who got you there another chance to play?

as luck would have it, JJ is gone now. So another dynamic will prevail and the people who yearn for an either-or universe will be fearful, craven and pissy alternatively, as the world turns.
Its complex, this world we operate in.
We have 4 QBs coming in. Not just Mett.
There is a dual threat who is faster than JJ. Jarrard Randall
There is the brother of the SD QB in the NFL.
And there is Gunner.
The Gunner will practice in the spring and summer.
Who knows?
Who can learn the plays. Who can make the tough passes, the outs, and throw the man open, rather than noticing when he has already been open.
And I would strongly prefer the ability to run for the first down.
That's why JJ got playing time.

Yesterday I mentioned LSU's depth at quarterback and named Zach Mettenberger, Steven Rivers and Gunner Kiel, but I omitted Jerrard Randall and Jared Foster.
I dont know a thing about Jared Foster.
Rivals says he is 6 1 180 out of Barbe, LC. dual threat.
No 40 time, but an ACT of 20 and a 3.4 in hs.
Redshirted, I presume.
Peace. Out. o

If he was the next Cam he'd have started this season. No snaps behind Lee and JJ tells you all you need to know

You obviously don't know.

Mett will be a complete bust...obviously Miles would have started him if he was better than JJ/JL, despite these two QBs combining for three years of experience with the same personnel and plays...I wouldn't worry much Bama, ya'll should be able to embarrass us again next season at night in tiger stadium. The swine will also have nothing to worry about either. LSU is Peach bowl bound.
shite, we might as well have this guy as QB.
NOT!

Ok, to be the "next" Cam Newton, he'll have to have the best single season in CFB history.....is Mettenberger capable of that?

your defensiveness aside, i really am interested in how mett is going to do. the guy evidently has a lot of talent, but, like a lot of college players had some off field issues.
you just hate to see a kid throw away his potential by being stupid. alabama has in the past had a few guys just p#ss their futures away through dumb off-the-field stuff. hope mettemberger has gotten it together.

No one expects him to be anyone but himself, that will be good enough.
