at the time he said it I think he was fairly accurate. he just forgot to take into account bama had a month to correct it's "option" weaknesses. not to mention the emotions in the BCSNC game were probably higher.

And no one could ever foresee our fricking players completely imploding in the locker room and turning on one another over one of the most pathetic QBs in LSU history.

Spencer Tillman was realling pulling for LSU on twitter. Since the game ending, he hasn't used his account.
And he said that LSU totally disrespected Alabama at the coin toss.

I think this worked in Bama's favor.

well i don't know if that happened on not. but, i do know it wouldn't happen on a Bobby Petrino or a Nick Saban coached team.

Didn't Saban's team implode before the Sugar Bowl against Utah?

Reaching back all those years for a game to prove your point. I think the game that matters is the last game. The HOME GAME LSU got THROTTLED in.

Why does it matter how long ago it was?

I chose a poor way to make my point and for that I apologize. My thought was that a very special and unique set of circumstances were needed to arrive at that painfully obvious failure in the Sugar Bowl. So I don't agree to that loss being used as a defining moment for our program or Saban. Just as I will not look at this most recent failure by LSU as a program defining moment.
ETA: Something happened that took the fight out of LSU on 9 January and I hope it gets revealed. The revelation may help that program keep its footing.

Yeah Andre Smith, the starting left tackle, was suspended a few days before the game.

Miles has to get out ahead of this thing before he loses the fan base. Right now you have even the biggest Miles sunshine pumpers wondering wtf happened.

It's not an excuse though. Alabama came out as determined as I've ever seen a team. LSU didn't have any fight from the opening kick off. It was the weirdest LSU game I've ever watched in my life.

hes right, it doesn't matter.. that's why we act like we just won the national title every year...because it doesn't matter how long ago it was..we're entitled. /end sarcasm.

I think it is as simple as one team wanted it more than the other. The reason I believe this is that the pay site writers all say that they haven't been able to confirm any fighting before, during, or after the game. Also, the "insider" info coming from random posters seems to contradict one another whereas the info from the different pay sites is fairly consistent. I think Alabama was the last team the LSU players wanted to face and their body language and motivation showed that.

Home Game ?????????????????????
(1) Tiger Stadium is 90 miles up the river from the Superdome.
(2) There were just as many Bama fans as LSU fans in the Superdome Monday night....

Lay off Spencer. He's a good guy and probably the most tolerable analyst in sports.
