I really don't understand these rankings (granted I also don't know all tSEC team's records and who they've played). But I don't see LSU, Miss, Vandy, Kentucky, and Alabama all playing tougher competition than us so far. Haven't we played 3 top25 teams this year already (only beaten one)

I agree. Only thing i can think of is our crap teams have been better than your crap teams. But i definitely wouldnt say that LSU has played a tougher schedule than Florida.

RPI is all about playing a lot of solid RPI teams, not necessarily just a few games against top rated teams. Of our 11 games 8 were against top 100 RPI teams. Just taking a quick look at Florida's schedule, it looks like they've played two really good teams, a solid team in A&M, and then not much else. Our OOC SOS is 14; Florida's is 172.
I hate the RPI fwiw. But it's just a game, you have to manipulate the schedule. Not that it will really matter to Florida (except for seeding), they're a lock and their RPI should be pretty good at the end of the year.

The RPI is calculated with 25% your winning percentage, 50% your opponent's winning percentage, and 25% of your opponent's opponent's winning percentage. It's almost all about SOS. So a team might play a small school with a losing record, but if that small school was on the road all November playing higher RPI teams it shows even of they lost those games.
It's a cluster and beyond my logic.
