which proves nothing.

This is what bothers me a lot. What does this rematch really prove, regardless of who wins?
If LSU wins again, well, we knew they were better.
If Bama wins this time, the series is 1-1 and LSU's overall schedule is still more impressive. So what is proven?
Stupid to match up 2 teams from same conference who have already played.

It's a game to decide the National Champion for 2011. It's got nothing to "prove".

at the "tie" comments a month ahead of the game.

Get over it. This isn't the first time it's happened in college ball, and it won't be the last. Not the first time it's happened to decide a championship of any sort either. Both teams will have the opportunity to earn the title, 2011 National Champions, and that's all that really matters at this point in the season.

It's done in a lot of other sports but unless Alabama wins by a large margin, it doesn't mean much, if anything, and I don't see that happening. I wouldn't like it, even if Arkansas was in it.

There are other teams out there who deserve a chance to win or lose, and I'm not sure that even that would mean much or settle the "score" either, since the entire BCS system sucks in the first place.
