Although it will be uncomfortable for some LSU fans to contemplate, the truth is LSU needs to lose to Georgia tomorrow. While some fans use Tiger-centric logic, the fact remains this is not an LSU universe but one we share with other schools.
As the Tigers have won more and more, discomfort has turned to dislike, discomfort is starting to turn into hatred towards all things LSU. We can't rule the entire college football world forever. Becoming too strong and powerful for the rest of the SEC and NCAA is creating a climate of fear and animosity towards LSU. Are we so foolish as to ignore the lessons of history that when one county becomes too strong, the others gang up against it? Just as a misguided belief in American invincibility led it arrogantly march into Vietnam, so will our new found arrogance lead us to disaster. If we win tomorrow, too many LSU fans will wrongly interpret that as a win for the program when in reality it is a setback.
We must remember we share the SEC ecosystem with the Vandys and Floridas and need them. The winner take all mentality of tomorrow's game fosters the attitude in our fans and even our children that might makes right, the opponent is the enemy, and all that matters is seeing him crushed. Is that truly the example we want to set for others to follow? Even now, other SEC schools are reacting to this climate of fear caused by our program by engaging in a senseless arms race. millions for coaches, millions for facilities, high-pressure recruiting- all to defeat LSU. Poor schools such as the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University are forced to spend millions they don't have on new coaches and facilities just to avoid getting blown out by fifty points. The media is ganging up on us and even the NCAA is considering changing rules to limit our success.
Is this what we want? A college football world of kill or be killed? The same type of attitude that prevailed in the 80's and destroyed our economy in the early 1990's? Losing tomorrow will go a long way towards bringing us back into the fellowship of other schools and the media as they will no longer feel as threatened by our success. Success is not always success and winning tomorrow will be no exception. The world is not simplistic, nothing is black and white, and neither is college football. If we lose tomorrow, we will begin regain the moral high ground as proud LSU fans.

If LSU were to lose, there is just as likely a chance that LSU could be left out as Alabama. LSU fans are hard up on the OSU bandwagon, they could jump YOUR asses.
Chances are about 15% but shite, there's only a 5% chance of OSU jumping us, yet LSU fans consider that pretty good odds. I'd laugh my arse off!

You think the odds of LSU dropping out of the top 2 are higher than bama dropping? Is that a joke?
