Last night, Jerry Palm said if UGA beats Alabama or LSU in Atlanta, that they should play in the BCSCG.
Thoughts?

bullshite, and I'm a UGA fan
ETA We lost in miserable fashion to a 1-loss Boise team (which is basically a 3-4 loss team in a BCS conference), blew the game against Carolina, and then coasted through a pretty sad schedule. If we win we deserve the sUGAr Bowl, but nothing more

Palm is an idiot....it's wild IMO that they call him a "BCS expert"

All the Experts try and think outside the box but I find often all of them at one time or another or out of the Universe

Makes less sense than Arky beating lsu and moving to #2 in the BCS

People need to decide if we are going to pretend we have a playoff system or play in the FBS system we are supposed to be in.

You sure? I read an article he wrote about 2 days ago saying there was a CHANCE, a slim, small CHANCE that with a ton of breaks if we end up at 11-2 we COULD slip to #2.
But I never heard the word "should" anywhere in there.

No way in the world we play for the BCSCG, no matter what happens these next 2 weeks

If teams 2-12 in the current standings all lose, then UGA beats LSU you would have LSU and houston with 1 loss and UGA with 2 along with a half dozen or so other schools, a rematch with LSU could make as much sense as anything else.
If LSU lost to Arkansas then Arkansas lost to UGA you could have a stronger argument for LSU UGA in the championship game.

We wouldn't necessarily need that. Let's not forget 2007 when we were in the top 4 and 1 and 2 lost, yet #7 LSU catapulted to the top.
Palm's point was that an 11-2 SEC champ would jump a bunch of folks without them having to lose.
But, I disagree. We ain't going. No way.

What Tyler said... Sugar Bowl is the best we can do...

Nope. UGA has a current BCS ranking of 13. I don't think so.

Georgia has ZERO chance against any team from the West. Put the crack pipe down and do 12 face palms and a fail Mary.

Guess we should just cancel the game then.

Since Arky has had such great success in the SECCG...

so far they played 2 ranked teams and lost both.
they didn't play LSU, Bama, or Arkansas. if they did I guarantee UGA would be having another mediocre 7-5 season. instead they drew Ole Piss, State, and Auburn.
