I love the Arkansas-LSU game

Flaming and BCS numbers aside, those of you who have watched football for at least a decade know this is one of the best of the season for a spectator.
On numerous occasions the game has held SEC West implications, last year it was a trip to the Sugar Bowl and this year while LSU is sitting pretty either way, this the frickin Super Bowl for Arkansas.
I've seen more whacky shite in this series in the past 5 or 6 seasons than any other series I can recall.
I'll let everyone get back to flaming but I'm looking forward to a hell of a game.

are you old enough to remember 01 and 02? both of those games were pretty nuts as well.

This game will not be as close as your #3 ranking may imply.
Yes, I have seen wacky many times...In fact, I can't recall a time it went LSU's way in the last 6 seconds of these nail biters.
I think Saban lost 2 games to Arkansas in the closing seconds. Miles a couple of times...too many going your way.
this year, LSU is not beat up, tired, or unfocused and they have a complete team.

My favorite game of the season by far.
I know we're walking into buzzsaw, but I still can't wait. It may not be an official "rivalry," but the passion, intensity, stakes of the game, and recent history sure make it feel like one.

I've always disliked the Arkansas game
It comes on a short week the day after Thanksgiving when I'd rather be with my family... if they just moved the damn game to Saturday I'd be a 100x happier
Plus, I'd rather play a team like Florida or Alabama at the end of the year... because generally speaking they are programs of equal prestige and beating them means as much to LSU as it does to Alabama or Florida

Glad at least one Arkansas fan can admit this. I was telling numerous other Hog fans that this is true, yet, they were adamant that it wasn't the case. It's "just another game." Uh huh.

It's probably my least favorite game because we are Arkie's super bowl and we just don't have the same feelings towards them. They have snuck up on us a bunch because of that. Fortunately that won't happen this year.

I just want to chime in on the 14 spread. Keep in mind I started this thread as a compliment to the baddassery that is this series. This wasn't supposed to be a flame thrower.
I wager every week. I only wager the moneyline because you only have to pick the winner. I was burned waaaaaaaaay too many times trying to beat a spread. So I go the "safe route" and bet the moneylines on teams that are favored by 14 or more each week. I bundle them up into a parlay. There are typically 6 to 15 teams that are 14 pt favorites and I pick a few that I feel are the safest.
I can not even begin to tell you how many teams a week or season do not win games that are 14, 15, 16, 17 pt favorites. Happens every fricking week. Every week!
Point being, 14pt favorites should win, but they damn sure dont on a far more frequent basis than some here believe.
