It wouldn't be fair to an undefeated team and it wouldn't be fair to the SEC Eastern Division champion. However, it would be especially unfair to LSU. They beat us at home, on a Saturday night, in a truly electric environment. They deserve a chance to play for the NC and they shouldn't have to beat us again. We had a chance and we pissed it away.

oh and you forgot the part while we are still busting our asses in ATL trying to beat another possible Top 12 team after facing a Top 10 Arky... Bama has it's feet propped up on an Ottoman listening to Eli Gold's Christmas Hit's from the 70's!

i know if we had lost i would hope for a rematch, but in my heart i know we would've had our chance already. in this system, someone else deserves a shot.

that's why we need a 4 or 8 team playoff.

Agree.

It wouldn't be fair for other undefeated teams and one loss teams who won their conference championship game.

The only way I could see us going is, if the teams at the top start having multiple losses.

Bama always says LSU backed into '07 and that's what Bama is trying to do according to that logic except LSU will have won the SECw & the SECCG. Speaking of which, at the end of the season every decent team had two losses. None of LSU's were in regulation and most importantly we played what ended being 8 ranked Top 25 opponents that year which is a record for championship teams.

Lousy argument, if Bama is the #2 team in the country. It's about matching up 1 vs 2, not about what's "fair" in peoples' eyes. Would it suck big donkey dicks for them? Yeah. As it would for Bama if the situation were reversed. But IF, Stanford and Okie St lose, tell me who is the 2nd best team in the land.
