as much as I'd like to hate the man, I just can't. He's too likeable and he just wins. And then he says stuff like this regarding a rematch:
https://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7204039/lsu-tigers-coach-les-miles-welcome-bcs-national-championship-game-rematch-alabama-crimson-tide
I have to say, he is now one of the elite coaches in the country, top 2-3 for sure.

I could see it happening, you guys love our sloppy seconds

We never lost a coach to Alabama.

I think he's earned it, although respect is not important like winning.

I was not aware Saban left LSU to go directly to Alabama.

link fixed. Unlike most panzy LSU fans on this board, Les Miles welcomes a rematch with Alabama. I like this guy...no fear, balls to the wall. LSU fans could learn alot from him.

You know who you could learn a lot from?

So you only have respect for him after he said he wouldn't mind playing Alabama? it's call coach speak.

removed the last part so discussion would focus on what Les Miles says about a rematch. Your own coach disagrees with most of you. So eat it.

If Saban built LSU's program, then who built the one in Stillwater?

You're not the first person to be taken in by the difference between what Les says and what Les thinks.

You could've just hit the back arrow. You didn't have to continue with the post.

No, I respect him after he out-coached Saban two years in a row. And we both know Miles isn't good at coach-speak. He says whatever comes to his mind. And he just as easily could have said someone else deserves a shot, but we respect Alabama, blah blah blah. He didn't. He basically said...bring it on.

Im not scared of a rematch I just dont think it makes sense. We have nothing to gain from beating Bama again. We beat them on their home field so whats the point in playing them again on a neutral site?
Even if they beat us in the BCSNC, how does that mean Bama is better than us? We would have each beat each other on basically our home turf so why would be more deserving of us?
If the game was the same result in Tiger Stadium then Id be more welcoming of a rematch but it doesnt make sense to have that game.
And idt the gumps could take losing to Miles twice in a season.
