probably Germans so get over it

"After running out of kickers during pre-game warmups, the Tennessee Vols made a call to Derrick Brodus who was getting ready to watch the game on television from his frat house. The walk-on freshman was their only viable kicker at the moment. A police escort was sent, and Brodus was taken to the stadium"

This was not real life...

This is a tease for the remake of "Animal House" or "Revenge of the Nerds Part IX," right?

What did he have to blow to pass? Unless he knew he was on standby, or is a massive pussy, there's no way he was about to watch the game at the fraternity house and hadn't had a few cold ones.

Not sure if the AA frats get as crazy as the W ones.

Maybe he's a big douche.

I am assuming same standards for DUI. Dooley's comment was that he was intoxicated, but not drunk.

Sending an intoxicated fraternity guy out on the field to kick field goals. That's a new one.

I was at the game, and honestly I thought he did better than Palardy or Lincoln ever have(as a joke they gave him Lincoln's old number).

He kickoffs were a little short (then again I have gotten spoiled to Parkey booting them into the first row) but his FG and PATs were straight and high.

And he performs better than both of Bama's sober kickers.

dude is not in a fraternity. he was just at a house watching games with friends. im sure he had been drinking, but hey, it probably kept him from being so nervous or tight. maybe should give the kickers a few brews before every game to keep em loose.

Dooley per Volquest
quote:

"I said 'Let's get an APB out on Brodus.' It's a good thing he wasn't having too much fun on a Saturday afternoon. I told the coaches, 'Hey -- an intoxicated Brodus is better than nobody. Get him. Just get him here. Give him a breathalyzer.' Fortunately he didn't do anything bad."
