I'm a Nick Saban Homer but watching the Press Conference is sad. He has clearly lost it.
The only explanation is that Les Miles is in his head. Nick's loss to LSU last year has affected his judgement. Last year Nick played classic Saban ball and lost when Miles pulled a rabbit out of his hat. And Saban then had to endure a year of hearing that Miles had out-coached him.
This year, Nick tried to out-hat the Mad Hatter by emulating him. He was determined that everyone would acclaim his brilliance by beating the Mad Hatter at his own game. Only to have Les beat him by playing things close to the vest.
The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. How else do you explain continuing to try long field goals on a night when your kickers clearly didn't have it in them?
Insanity. Saban is no Mad Hatter. He's just mad.

Guys,
How in hell can you call it a 'great play' when it got picked? You Bammers sound like Duck fans after we whipped their butts. Ask any of them. They'll tell you: 'LSU didn't beat us. We beat ourselves.' Bama is a premier team in the premier conference in the country. Quit playing 'What if.' It's beneath you.

I know what you're trying to say, but there are better ways of articulating it.

LSU had over 300 yards of offense in the second half last year...that wasn't magic

The iconic play from that game was the reverse on fourth down. That's what Saban was trying to emulate, that kind of game-changing play.

Yes, les did the better coaching job last night, I just feel it was more Saban's fault than Les's brilliance this time.
is anyone supposed to care about silly rationalizations coming from the losers? i mean really, wtf is this bull?
if you can't accept the fact that you LOST, go see a therapist or something. stop making your school look even bigger BOOFOOS than they already do!

at the end of regulation, bama and LSU tied 6 - 6
at this time, the missed field goals, the missed opportunities, the two interceptions by each team, and more were irrelevant
if your bama at home, you have to love your chances... 85,000 chanting for the crimson tide; 18,000 guests in the purple and gold?
each team and coaching staff had one possession at the 25-yard line to SAVE, possibly, their BCS hopes - which team won?

This is stupid. If you're talking about the same press conference that I saw after the game, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary for Saban.

He just had a pretty tough loss. It's not worse than his post-NLU presser... The guy hates losing. Get off his back.
This.
Who wants a coach that comes up to the podium and says "Meh, no big deal, easy come, easy go." I will take a disappointed HC every day of the week. The guy cares and it shows.
