Miles outcoached Saban

Saban keeps doing this in big games.
When you have the talent and depth that LSU and Bama do there's no excuse for someone who can't plant on his ankle to be fielding punts.
I knew Sheally was going to miss that FG. I knew Foster wasn't going to make a 50+ yarder after the first quarter.
I also knew which side was INTO the wind. Why in the hell do you choose to play INTO the wind in overtime with a questionable kicker? Why do you decide to run out the clock instead of trying to mount a scoring drive with 1:30 left and a TO. From what I saw all game long we didn't have much trouble moving the ball between the 30's.
Congrats to LSU. Miles knows his team's strengths, he stuck to the option when he realized Lee couldn't get the job done, he didn't have an injure WR try to beat NFL caliber corners deep. I don't want a rematch.
Just like in 2009 I want a new special teams coach. We've been terrible at it for as long as Saban's been here.

As usual. The better coach gets the best of the lesser coach.

He made some mistakes, no doubt.
Way to be a classy poster. Good luck the rest of the way.

Dude, you are just beginning to learn that Saban is beatable. Break him out of his game plan and the guy's head explodes. We saw it at LSU and now you are seeing it at Alabama. Saban is one of the best that ever was, but he isn't God.
Great game tonight. Alabama is a worthy adversary.

I think Miles will win again next year too, making it 3 in a row against Saban. has Saban ever lost 3 in a row to another coach?

Don't hold it against us when we let Boise St. destroy us in the Sugar Bowl. Our players can now focus on their draft status.
Go win

You could see this coming early in the 2nd half. There's no need to "appear balanced" in the 4th. If something works just keep using it (like LSU and the option and punting).
You would think with Bama's D, we'd be experts at pinning teams deep, but we aren't.

Being that our offense was incapable of moving the ball very far at all, Saban should have been punting those field goals and pinning us down deep in our end of the field. Miles plays field position, Saban doesn't.
If the Bama defense holds us to a 3 & out they get the ball with great field position, (maybe) but instead he was giving us the ball close to mid field the whole game.

No. He has only lost two in a row to two coaches. Spurrier when he was at Florida and after tonight Miles at LSU.

It was a pretty evenly called game until the end. I couldn't believe we were content to play for OT, especially with how horrible our kicking game had been all night. To make things worse, we tried to be cute in OT, instead of just going up the field and getting yards.

Saban is a great recruiter, he is great at preparing teams for games, but isn't that great of an in game coach. Saw it at LSU, have seen it at Bama. Still, one of the top coaches in the nation.
