Eh, I duno if Hilliard is on there, unless there's no other freshman RB's.

Yeah, great game against Auburn but not much else. I think this he automatically qualifies due to no other freshman RB's with meaningful playing time (other than Crowell). Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Clemons from UK, but he's out for the year.

Marlin Lane from Tennessee has also been banged up and limited.

Jerron Seymour has been pretty good, though. I added him.

RB is tough outside of Crowell.

Candidates for the second RB are probably Josh Clemons of KY, Kenny Hilliard of LSU, Brandon Wiles of USC and Tre Mason of Auburn.

None of them carry the ball enough to really separate themselves from the others much. I think Hilliard and Mason are the 2 best, but that is based more on potential after seeing flashes from each.

I don't see how Tevin Mitchel won't make the All-SEC Freshman team this year. He is starting at CB for us and is our 4th leading tackler I believe. He is also our only CB that looks like he knows how to tackle these days.

A list without Nick Brassel is a farce.

Cyrus Kouandjio would be on the roster but he is out for the season.

Is Easley a true freshman? I thought he was redshirted, and ESPN has him listed as a true sophomore.

I'll nominate Gabe Wright, DT, Auburn. Got his first start Saturday. But it's a homer pick just cause he's the only one I know of.

Moncrief. Brassel gets some decent production running the ball and has a punt return for a TD that gives him the edge IMO.

I thought about him, but the only DL that he has listed that he might beat out is Eulls. Admittedly, I don't know anything about Eulls to say one way or the other. Gabe Wright has only come on in the last few games, so I suspect he doesn't deserve to make the list just yet. Maybe by season's end.

There are only 8 freshman defensive starters in the SEC, true or redshirt.

DL Gabe Wright, Auburn
LB AJ Johnson, Tennessee
LB Curt Maggitt, Tennessee
S Brian Randolph, Tennessee
CB Marcus Roberson, Florida
DL Kaleb Eulls, Miss. State
CB Tevin Mitchel, Arkansas
And somebody I'm missing

It makes that side of the ball more difficult.

Easley is a Sophomore. Green is a RFR. The other two are true Freshmen.

Arkansas DE Trey Flowers has had a pretty good run in his true freshman year.

21 tackles, 3.5 tfl, 1 sack, 2 pass b/u's
