I just watched the hit, so I haven't been caught up in all of the emotion here about it... Personally I think the hit was incredibly stupid, but I can't say for sure if it was an intentional cheap shot. I don't think he was ejected as a result of the hit, but rather because of the taunting of the Vandy fans (didn't know they had fans to taunt) he supposedly did afterwards. He really didn't give the refs much choice if he was acting like an idiot towards the fans afterwards.

Why do LSU fans love Vandy so much?
No rivalry! Move on people!

I'm pretty sure they don't. They definitely don't make as much at the next level as ours do.
Of course not. Yours get extra for swallowing.....

I quit commenting on football videos a couple years ago. Believe it or not, the people who comment on there are typically of lower intelligence than most of the posters here. The Big 10 fans are the worst.

Yes, because I'm such a huge Whitey Ford fan. I hate the Yankees.

Are they still saying the hit was legal because they have loads of Women's Cross Country Championships?

No we're over that... We are all just wondering why you LSU fans have so much concern for Vandy?

I've done it... Won't lie. Well, he had the ball and called fair catch but I really didn't see it. That fair catch signal happens very fast and it doesn't take much to miss it.
Not justifying the hit bc I was very bad but people are definitely overacting with the celebration thing. The hit itself was shitty and if the dude was "covering his eyes" then the sun was to the defenders back. He could see if he caught it or not...

From the NCAA Football Rules & Interpretations:
SECTION 4. Opportunity To Catch a Kick
Interference With Opportunity
ARTICLE 1. A player of the receiving team within the boundary lines attempting to catch a kick, and so located that he could have caught a free kick or a scrimmage kick that is beyond the neutral zone, must be given an unimpeded opportunity to catch the kick (A.R. 6-3-1-III, A.R. 6-4-1-V and A.R. 6-4-1-X).
Just because you are an Arkansas fan doesn't mean you have to be ignorant about the rules of football
