Here are a few notes from the Arkansas win over Auburn this past Saturday, as well as a few things to look forward to for the Arkansas bye week.
-Arkansas improved to 3-1 against defending National Champions.
-The Razorbacks win snapped an 11 game SEC winning streak for Auburn.
-Tyler Wilson completed 18 straight passes at one point in the game. That is the 3rd longest streak in SEC history.
-Auburn ran 21 plays for 158 yards in the first quarter Saturday. Michael Dyer ran 6 times for 71 yards in the 1st quarter.
-Auburn ran 56 plays for 181 yards in the final 3 quarters of play. A 3.23 yard per play average. Michael Dyer rushed 15 times for 41 yards in the final 3 quarters. A 2.73 yard per carry average.
-Arkansas was still without 5 starters for the Auburn game. RB Ronnie Wingo, DT Robert Thomas, DE Tank Wright, CB Isaac Madison, and CB Darius Winston.
-Wright may not be ready by the Ole Miss game, but with the bye week this week it is possible the remaining starters will be ready to go against Ole Miss.
-Jarius Wright took over sole possession of 3rd place on the Arkansas career touchdown reception list with his 18th of his career.
-Joe Adams with his 6 catches moved into a tie for 5th all time with Anthony Lucas on the schools all time career receptions chart with 137 catches.

It was 19 straight completions. Aaron Rodgers owns the FBS record of 26.

They said 19 on tv during the game, but the paper pointed out that it was actually 18 - the 19 included a catch by Childs on a play that didn't count because of a penalty. Still impressive and fun to watch!

Ah, I see. I stand corrected.

Yep. I think that one was in the 2nd quarter. 19 would have been good for 2nd best ever in SEC play. Instead, he is tied with Eli Manning for 3rd best.

I wonder what the deal is with Winston and Madison. I find it odd that we were missing two guys that have over a year of starting experience at least and we got three picks and our secondary played its best game yet. When will Winston and Madison be back? Wouldn't be surprised if the playing time situation at corner was permanently different.

I think Auburn's ineptitude had something to do with that.

As well as Tevin Mitchell played I'm in no rush to see Winston come back.

I agree. Still will be good to get a Junior & Senior back to give our Freshman a little rest from time to time during the game. Tevin is doing great.

I agree, its nice to see a d-back turn his head and locate the ball before it gets caught.

With Winston and Madison out, who is getting playing time besides Gatson and Mitchell? Anyone know?
