Lock the Vaught didn't work. The whole "R-E-B-S Go Rebs Go" thing had a few people do it but wasn't too successful.

swaying in unison is hard to manage.
A&M literally assigns a direction to start in, depending on row, and its triggered by a point in their fight song.

This is grossly incorrect. It looked from the field like the majority of the student section participated for a few minutes. It actually surprised the shite out of me because I didn't think our students would do that.

This. I'd say 80% of the student section did it. I'd call that a success for the very first time. He'll I'd say 25% of the east side did it. I didn't think anyone but students would do it and most would think it was ghey.

You can't really force "traditions" on your fanbase. Most great traditions start organically and evolve over time. I really noticed this when I was a faculty member at USM. It seemed like every week the athletic department was trying out some new cheer/activity to get the fans involved. Needless to say, I don't think it was ever terribly effective.

Yeah it didn't work much.
But they played the Brandon Bolden video before the 4th quarter....and although it worked like a charm on the stadium with "ooo's" and "aaaahh's" and the entire stadium erupting when he said "are you ready"...apparently the football team missed it.
