I'm sure it's said but your gonna have to narrow this one down a little bit.
Coming from the Bama perspective though, the two UF SECCG games in 2008 and 2009 were basically semi-final games.
Also the the 1969 Bama-Ole Miss game had little to do with NC implications, but it was the first televised night game and Bama won by one.

dont know if i can name 5, but some up for consideration
71 iron bowl. determined who played nebraska for all the marbles.
89 iron bowl. first game in jordan hare, kept bama from having a shot at the national title.
94 iron bowl- two undefeated teams for only the second time
2001 SEC title gme. Kept Tennessee from playing miami for all the marbles and served notice to the sec that seconf year lsu coach nick saban would indeed be a force in the conference.
2008 and 2009 SEC title games- both acted as a play in for the naty title.
BTW, LSU fans, why on the wiki page for the 1958 tigers team is Bama listed at number 5? Yall were our first game of the year and we were coming off 4 wins in the previous 3 years.

I still remember that like it was yesterday. I had to pee really bad by the 4th OT but I was in a bar and afraid to leave and miss the end. Gah!
