It's a big loss. Silver lining is we get Dennis Johnson back and we've got 3 progressively harder games to prep for Bama. Even if we lose to Bama we've still got a chance to have a really good year.
Hard to gauge right now. It could be 8 or 10+. Luck will factor in for this of course

you do know that it was Wingo that ran all the frick over aggie last year, dont you? not KD
No, sorry.
Wingo had some yards the year before though.

ronnie wingo and dennis johnson should pick up the slack. dennis johnson has proven already to be a solid back in the sec and wingo has potential to be very good imo.
bobby p wil find a way to make things work as far as offense goes.
the question with ark is whether or not their defense will be able to hold up.

That's a little harsh.

I cannot speak for the rest of the hog fans on this board, but this is the reason I am excited about this year.
I have thought from the get go that our defense will be what carries this team. We are deep, experienced up front. We return some solid guys in the 2ndary.
I knew we had Knile & all the WRs back on offense, but the defense is the reason I love this team.

When can I mow my yard here in Fayetteville? shite was damn near dead in the back. Raining for 3 straight days and shite is already mid shin high.
What day do I need to plan on getting this done?
Ill hang up and listen...

meh...they didn't have much of a shot with him
I don't know... maybe our team will battle cry for Knile as if he were our version of Kragthorpe.

This.
We'll lose some on the O with the loss of Davis, but we'll still produce very well. This year it's more about our D than anytime since Petrino has been here, and it's going to be a really good D.

Our defense is actually suppose to be pretty good this year. I'm not worried about defense

Yep, I agree. We'll be lucky to stay out of the cellar.
Seriously though, although short one bullet from the arsenal, we've got several more. Hoping Kody sees his opp and steps up big time, he's a big, physical runner. The kind Bobby likes. Don't see him beating out Wingo or DJ, but he could sure provide some needed depth.
I'm not lowering my expectations for the season, but will miss seeing Knile freight train people.

Arkansas is a complete team. We will still have one of the league's best offenses, a top 4 defense, and we have great special teams.

I dont think they have much of a shot now. With replacing what they have to on the OL, they lose their one steady proven offensive throughput in Davis now...just dont see this offense coming together and being that dangerous. Not saying it will be mediocre or bad, just dont see it being near as good as last year's offense. I still with the injury to Davis their worst outlook on the offense is the offensive line. I would not be comfortable where they are at at the moment with that JUCO kid at one OT spot and a true freshman currently at guard with the 1's.

Knile was the SEC's best RB, IMO, but we go deep on offense at the skill positions and we don't depend on the run for all our success on offense like LSU and Bama. We will still score a lot of points, we'll just have to adjust our offense accordingly.
Our offense is very versatile, with Knile or without him
You can't really make this assumption. Your starting a new QB, yea he looked good in limited duty last year. He did not play consistently a whole season with the pressure of being a starting QB. He is good and I am not saying that he won't step up the whole year. But you are making an assumption like this guy has been starting for multiple years.
