On a national level?

For example, whenever I meet someone new and tell them I go to Ole Miss, I get questions about the grove, the women, the party scene, and so on.

What are the types of things outsiders know state for? Is it the cheese? I seriously don't know.

And before someone says "we're known for beatin da black bears arse!1" think about what you're saying, Is that really what you want to be known for? Just a thorn in OM's side?

I look forward to your answers.

I hire a lot of MSU and Auburn electrical engineers and programmers. Both schools have given me a lot of high quality employees.

I know you meant for this thread to be a shitty flame, but I will try to answer your question seriously.

The majority of things that MSU is known for on a national, even a local, southern level is based on people's outdated perceptions of Starkville.

Whether we deserved or not, OM was ranked the #3 party school, so that's what people know us for.
