Im sorry that you're dumb enough to think taking a fishing trip with someone you thought was a friend is worse than trying to extort 180,000 dollars from a college?
I'm sorry that you actually think you are smarter than the President of the NCAA and there interpretation of their rules.
It baffles me that you think not receiving illegal benefits is more serious than actually receiving illegal benefits.
Carry on, tard. I'm sure your argument gets e-highfives over on tardsports.com.

Can you show me where? And per the rules someone acted as an influence onto means to determine where he went, for a fee. So I would say they are very much the same.
No, they are not. The parent, being equal to the athlete, his/her behavior is impugned to the athlete. That is not so with a coach.

You keep saying this, but if you would like to prove this as past precedent rather than your own opinion, as everyone has asked several times, Show us where they(NCAA)has said this

quote:That is the opposite of true. If there was evidence to support Cam asking Cecil to act on his behalf to solicit funds, then NCAA could say it. However, simply because Cam let Cecil influence his decision doesn't mean Cam gave Cecil the authority to act as his agent to solicit funds from MSU. But we have plowed this field many times before.

What would stop me from going up to Alabama and asking for money on behalf of every recruit they sign, then?
A good o'l fashioned Alabama arse Woppin.
I suppose the NCAA will retain the right to punish as they see fit. They could just tell the school to disassociate the offending party without punishing the kid if they so choose.

We have. And I stand by the argument that giving his father permission to decide his future and where he would sign, in effect, made him culpable to his fathers decisions and any transgressions he may have made. If he had been a minor, maybe there would be less of an argument, however, being over 21, he was old enough to make a coherent decision of his own to relinquish his decisions and be held accountable for any that his dad made on his behalf.

No, im simply not dumb enough to believe everything im told. Just like I dont believe certain things government officials tell me. They ruled the way they did, not because they thought it the correct ruling, but to avoid embarassment.

Seriously i shout your fricking argument down here quite badly. It was stupid to begin with, and has only grown stupider. See murder conspiracy/assault metaphor.

"was always told the parent is the child."
This is a USC coach on what the ncaa told him. Now, I suppose he could be lying, but the odds of that are incredibly slim.

Is this anywhere in NCAA rullings or guidelines? You seem to be forming an opinion and stating it as fact without anything to back it up

No, te government is always on the up and up. Btw, I have ocean front property just outside of huntville for a steal.....

No problem with defending your team, but you're attacking auburn here...based on your lack of understanding of the bylaw you're refering to.
But I love a good red herring.
