I think I'll miss Barry.

With that said, do you fellow UA fans feel as though Stewart will at some point get the reins?

Two thoughts:

1) Saban didn't appreciate Barry towering over him in half-time interviews
2) I can't wait for Chris (or anyone) to replace Eli.

Yes. Stewart is the heir apparent. I'm okay with this, but I don't think he's really a stellar talent. Yet.

For all the flack Eli catches from the unwashed masses, he's an excellent broadcaster, and I will miss him when he's gone.

Also, what the hell happened to Barry Krauss??

Damn, I'm gonna miss seeing Barry Krauss come out of nowhere to interview Saban at halftime.

It's like seeing him prey on a RB like his playing days...

as someone with no bias, I really like stewart's basketball pbp... much better than gold was. with that said, gold not doing UA football will be different, but I think stewart will do a very good job.

Good. Chris has a good radio voice & will be quite an improvement if he eventually takes over for the obnoxious Eli Gold.

Eli Gold owns it. love that guy. however, I have no worthy insight to the OP's question.

I've always liked Eli, but I'll admit that his pbp is lacking sometimes. Stewart seems like a good choice to replace him and he's done a good job in bball coverage.

Eli is great if you listen to the entire game from start to finish and keep your own time and score.

Chris Stewart is a pretty nice guy,but he's mediocre at best.

Alabama has such a good communications school that I'm surprised they have such so-so announcers.

Agreed x10000

Maybe I've just gotten accustomed to hearing Eli but I dont share the disdain for him that you all seem to have. However I do like Chris Stewart so if thats going to be the direction they go in, I will be happy with him in the booth.
