I wonder if the fans will be as forgiving after this year. They were talking a dynasty after their last championship.

You mean the same fans that immortalized Gene Stallings after his 92 title only to run him out of town 3 years after.

How bad did Bama fans feel after saban helped them lose to UL Monroe?

bama's season rests on qb play and they do not have an experienced qb. in all likelyhood they will challenge for the sec west and if they get a few breaks, esp against arkansas and lsu, they will probably win it or tie it. them going undefeated is something i wouldn't bet money on. i think if they lose 3 games, some fans will grumble but they love sabans shite and he's glib enough to smooth things over and deflect any blame as long as he doesn't lay an egg losing to ULMonroe or getting blown out by an sec rival. i think bama fans expectations are not what they used to be; they had many a dry year with the parade of loser coaches they had prior to saban.

I'm confused why they are ranked so high to be honest. Yes, they have alot of talent on defense but they just lost their best three players on offense (qb, wr, and rb) which scored the majority of their points... I know trent richardson is expected to be a monster next year, but mark ingram was a heisman winner.. There will be a drop off at that position. And they lost 3 games last year with these people, and now they are expected to go undefeated without them?

I'll take Bama's untested QB over a Jordan Jefferson who I recognize to be a liability any day.

Negative. They will be as strong in the backfield this year as they were last year.

After listening to the dumbaxes on Finnebaum, I'd say as long as they beat Auburn they'll be happy.

About like LSU fans if we go 8 -4 or 9-3, especially if AL wins another BCSNC.
Would be total meltdown and the bash Miles would be at a high.

I am not that confident in JJ either but I'll take experience in the sec over a soph or fresh.

Yours is a reasonable point. I was only suggesting, at times, an unknown may be preferable to a known when the known is less than ideal to your needs.

At this point there is no reson to believe an untested Bama QB could be any worse than JJ was in 2010.

If it were to happen, they would probably handle it about the same way we did. But, I really doubt they're going to have that problem.

Their qb may be inexperienced, but I doubt theyre going to be as inexperienced as we were in 2008.

And, I don't think they're going to have inexperienced co defensive coordinators that would cause that side of the ball to perform poorly.

The only game I'm worried about is the SECCG against USCe.

This^^^^^^. If Alabama loses to Auburn, the meltdown would be epic. Saban would be 4-6 vs. Auburn, 2-3 while at Bama and he would be 1-2 against Mr. 5-19.
