in order to advance. Would like to see as many conference foes advance to the Series.

Yea but when all the SEC teams are winning, it makes a super regional matchup with another one very likely.
Personally I couldn't care less what conference our opponent is from, just as long as we win.

You got to beat the best to be the best and it just so happens most of the best teams are in the SEC.

Blame 1997. 4 SEC West teams made it to Omaha. Then 3 SEC teams made it in 1998. The NCAA put a stop to that by pairing up SEC teams in Super Regionals.

Right on!
State, LSU, Bama, AUB.
Seemed like 98 was SEC heavy too.

Agreed.
I guess the trade-off is that this gurantees a SEC team in Omaha.
For my part, would love to see Omaha become Hoover-west.

No thanks. Omaha doesn't need any circle jerks.

Whoa ... last ACC win was like over 55 years ago & FSU has the most appearances, like ~20, without a title.
That would be way closer to the definition of 'circle jerk'

They stuck LSU, Florida and State in the same side of the CWS that year. That was when they would re-seed for the CWS.
