...and the prospects Alabama pursues? Lots of negative recruiting with defensive linemen that Alabama targets.

That guys like Jadaveon Clowney, Quay Evans, etc., can't succeed at the college level or be high draft picks at the NFL level because of the 3-4 defense and how it uses DEs, DTs, and NGs.

I think that's a pretty crappy debate, especially since so many NFL teams are now using the 3-4. If you're good, you're good. Regardless of whether you play nose, DE, OLB, whatever in college, if you're good enough an NFL team will find a place for you to play.

It doesn't hurt that all the starters from the DL from the 2008 and 2009(Greenwood(now a OT), Cody, Deaderick, and Washington) are all on NFL rosters.
At the same time though, only 1 of them was drafted in the 1st 3 rounds if drafted at all, you can't really slip that by a recruit.
Dareus will add a 1st Rounder, but that still isn't enough consistency IMO...

Well, Georgia runs a version of the 3-4, so you're biased.
