What's better....A Division crown or BCS Bowl?

Some people feel that a BCS Bowl (at-large) is better than playing for the possibility of a Conference Championship.
Oh and I wanna give a shout-out to The Flagship!

Winning your division in the SEC means more than winning a BCS game IMHO.
(Non-Championship of course)

An at large team out of the SEC is almost certainly going to be very good. We've had some teams that won the division over the past few years that weren't really anything special. I don't really think winning the division means a damn thing if you lose the championship game.

i'd rather be in a bcs game than the music city/peach bowl i guess

BCS appearance. Going to ATL and losing is nothing special.

depends on the division and how you do in your bowl game

Totally depends on whether you win the SECCG
winning division + winning SECCG is obviously way better
winning division + losing in SECCG < not winning division and playing in BCS game

Playing in Atlanta for an SEC title is waaayyyy better than playing in a BCS game IMO. Bama fans didn't give a frick about playing Utah just like UF fans could care less about playing Cincinnati. Short of playing in a national title, Atlanta is as good as it gets.

state won the west in 98. sc won the east in 2010. arky won their division but I don't remember when (nor do I care)
at large BCS bid almost gurantees that you have a top 10 team. winning a week arse division with 4, 5 loss is meaningless. of course, if you upset a top team in ATL (LSU 2001) then it means something.

Winning the division crown with a chance to play for conf champion and you earn your way to the BCS bowl. By the way what does it matter to get an at large and then lose anyway?....

Not that this will answer the original question, but maybe it does...
SEC Championship (besides personally valuing UGA and Bama games) is the biggest game in college football, if you were to ask me.
However, that's easier to say within the past 6 years.

Wanting to win an SECCG and wanting to win a NCCG is kind of redundant. Considering it's always the same.

this is an easy question. Ask South Carolina.

I'd rather lose in the SEC Championship than not go...regardless of what bowl i get.

A BCS Bowl without question. It's next to impossible to get an at-large bid to a BCS bowl with more than two losses. There have been times when teams have won the division with a 7-5, 8-4 record. It means nothing.

An SEC Championship is definately harder to get these days.

id rather not win the division and play in a bcs bowl than win the division lose the sec title game and go to a non bcs bowl.
