I fully expect Richt to "step down" next year. As posted earlier I do think UGA will make a serious run at Mullen, and a lot of UGA fans do think Mullen would do very well in Athens.

The fact Mullen took the bullies into the swamp and came out with a W also makes him very attractive to UGA

OM can help their cause two fold with a win over UGA in Oxford this fall. Do yourself a favor and flop guys ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconusaflagsmiley.gif)

Can you imagine the hilarity that would ensue if HDN moved onto the MSU? LOL Would he begin to refer to OM as TSUN? Would he promise that he loved that Bulldog helmet and that there was a national championship under construction?

He'll get them to 7-5 somehow.
He won't be canned for 7-5 at Ole Miss.

im with ya crispy, UGA won't embarrass richt and he will step down
omaha
HELL NAW
thats what some can't decide. do you want uga to have a sub par year so you can move on and get a new coach in hopes of getting closer to bringing the program back? or do you want them to succeed even though you run the risk of it being a fluke and upping richts contract and he goes back to his old ways.
personally i could never root against UGA so its conflicting. i want a new coach but i want to kick arse. best possible thing is richt getting to us a national title and i'd love to eat crow and see that, but i know he isn't getting us there. he has tommy bowden syndrome

...Oh my! The world would cease to exist.
ETA: I believe Ole Miss will get at least 6 wins. The MSU game?...there's his problem.

My top three
1.Nutt - If he has another losing record in conference and doesn't beat STATE.
2.Richt- Needs to at least make it to Atlanta imho
3.Mullen- (this one is kinda fuzzy), if Miss State builds off of last seasons success and makes a late run for SEC West I could see him going to a program that is willing to throw money at him.

Richt is gonna have his work cut out for him. 5 games of the first half of the season will be tough.

He could lose to MSU but then he will win some shocker than he has no business being in. LSU or Bama. That's his MO and what makes him so damned aggravating as a coach.

beating UF would do a lot for him
he keeps obviously if he wins the east, sec, or national title (bear with me, no need to poke fun i guess weirder things have happened)
its iffy if he barely loses out the east. he'd need at least 9 wins.
if we lose to UF and thats why we don't make it then he resigns. if we lose to GT no matter what he resigns.
he needs to at least split the 1st two games vs boise state and crackolina. losing to boise in the dome in front of the whole nation and then at home to the cocks will guarantee richt an early exit. he certainly faces an uphill battle

I think it will be LSU at home, but I see him losing to MSU. It could be the opposite scenario, but I don't see Ole Miss losing both.

Does he finish out the season or stay for the whole year if he drops the Boise and USCe games? FTR I think UGA wins the Boise game, but I'm not sure about Carolina.

Nutt. Surprised he didn't take more heat for last season.

In all honesty it's hard to be sure any coach will be at a program from year to year... maybe the only near lock would be muschamp since he was just hired
but if someone told you saban, petrino, or mullen changed jobs... richt, dooley, nutt were fired... or spurrier retired it wouldn't be all that hard to believe
hottest seat is richt
most likely to jump to another school might be mullen
most likely to retire is probably spurrier
