It seems like the definition of classy on this board is some stuffy square who doesn't curse, drink, or have fun. That's all I want to do when it's game time.

I can put on a pastel shirt, tie a windsor, speak the kings english, and talk about society when it's not game day and time to be classy.

What is "classy" in college sports? There is nothing "classy" about wearing some tacky arse colors and sitting in an over sold stadium with a bunch of drunk people stuffed together like sardines. there is nothing classy about sitting in lawn chairs all day, drinking booze from plastic cups and eating greasy bbq. Low Class Cheer. Does not promote sportsmanship by the University or it's fans. At least LSU steps in when things get out of control with student chants at LSU. I don't expect Bama to ever change this, it's part of who they are.

Technically, the University has stepped in. Many times. It is not allowed pre-game anymore, and Mal will shut that crap up usually once a season because he hates it.

Look, the cheer is a bit controversial to say the least. I don't mind it so much but we don't have to hear it on the East side very much (shut it Gumps I know you beat us twice in a row).

I can see how the West teams would be aggravated by it and consider it less than sportsman like.

I can see how the arrogant fan base that is Bama would call others cry babies for not liking it.

I'm glad we don't have a cheer like it FWIW. But if we did, I'm not strong enough to not participate.

Did I ever say the cheer was not controversial? I can see where people get pissed off by it, but get over it. That cheer has been going on for God knows how long. I remember singing it at games when I was little (My mother made me say 'heck' instead of 'hell' ). But getting your panties in a wad over it is not going to help. At all.
