Can't wait for Sam Montgomery & the Freak to split him in two.

I think a good thing about Alabama in recent years is that the QB talent is close. This year if we would've lost McElroy it would've hurt us but our backups could've filled in fairly well. in 2011, losing McCarron and replacing him with Sims would be similar.

As long as it's one or the other, and not some variation of both....I'll be happy. (At least for little while)

I'm hoping that Sims gets the job; his blackness enables him to be a duel threat, or so I've heard.

You heard wrong.

AJ will start the year, but I hope Sims beats him out halfway through and finishes the season.

Simms has a better QB head and the skills to deliver the ball.

It's just February and this has already started.

Nobody knows and won't know for quite awhile.

It will be mccarron. You are delusional if you think otherwise.

Bama Fans have been fawning over McCarron since they signed him. Will be interesting if he lives up to all the hype.

"Fawning" is a little overstated. We all recognized his potential, but we also realized that he needed to put on some weight, which he has. I'm damn excited to see what he can do.

Why do you doubt it? He really hasn't been hyped up that much IMO.

Guess I'm delusional then. I feel like saban will go for sim's cool, calm, and collected'ness over mccarron's cowboy gunslinger'ness.

I preface this by saying all I know is what I read in practice reports and talking to ppl that pay closer attention to these types things than I can.

Mccarron is a typical cowboy. He puts the ball where he thinks he can get it to his receiver regardless of how dangerous the throw is. He is good at this, but it occasionally bites him in the arse.

Sims is a more calculated thrower and if he can't find someone that he is damned confident he can get to, he will find another way to end the play. (get a couple yards on his feet or throw it away) He is good with his feet but not in a Michael Vick way, more like a, god I'm gonna vomit, big ben way. He uses his feet to extend the play and find a target as opposed to making yards on the ground.

I just think sims fits saban's personality better.

Do we know when or if McCarron has lost a game yet?
