As an Arkansas fan I feel that I know the man personally and this is what I think of him
He..he look like a man. He look just like a man.

I see Nutt as being what everyone's opinion of Les Miles is (quirky, weird, and kind of a bumbling idiot).
He has a tendency to win games he shouldn't (UF the last time they won the NC), but at the same time he generally finds a way to lose games he shouldn't (he didn't actually end up losing, but the LSU game in '09).
He also called 4 straight passing plays (with Casey Dick) at the end of a close game against LSU in '06 when DMac and F. Jones were in the backfield.

IDK, after the whole Malzahn ordeal at Arky, I'm skeptical.

I think Nutt is a guy that either takes a bad team and makes them worse bc he is trying to force a square peg in a round hole or he takes an average team with average talent (see Arkansas for the last 30 years) and makes them good to better than good, but hasn't found all the pieces to make a great one. I think the guy can motivate, but I think he lacks in the fact that he likes the indoor practice facility at Ole Miss just a little too much this past fall camp.

My opinion is that Nutt cant develop a qb to save his life. His teams arent very good when they are favored or have expectations but when hes the underdog his teams are incredibly dangerous. Anytime you face a Nutt team you have to be ready because when his teams come to play they are tough. The problem is they dont always come to play.

Nutt is ok.. seems to get his teams up for LSU, but loses 3-4 a year in the SEC.
He is not consistent and it's hard to win big at Ole Miss.
Ole Miss will likely always be middle of pack in the SEC...this league is ridiculous now days..
The SECW is the strongest conference in ALL of CFB at the moment..
Alabama, LSU, and UF have programs that are stocked piled with talent.(Maybe UGA)..everyone else include AU is behind in the over all talent depth department as these 3 schools..
These 3 teams continue to rake in top 5 classes all the time, I don't see others catching them anytime soon.
Auburn is on the rise...but I think trouble awaits their program..time will bear that out. Honestly, they are were a 5 loss team without Cam Newton
UGA should win more
UT has a recruiting disadvantage...
Mississippi has good players in that state...but you have so many schools reaching in...

Ill never forget the game Arkansas had against LSU in 2003 (LSU was #3). CBS showed his pregame pep talk to the team before the game. Ill never forget what he said. He told the team, "Go out there and give me the first quarter of your lives. Just one good quarter. c'mon!"
I remember thinking it was strange at the time, but I guessed he was playing the underdog role. Well, the score was 10-10 at the end of the first. LSU won that game 55-24.
I will always wonder what wouldve happened if he asked for the whole game.

Here is my question about Nutt. Isn't he an Arkansas guy? From there etc.? So it would be safe to say that a coach of his caliber would have landed pretty much his "dream job" at The Pigship. So he leaves Arkansas and jumps to Ole Piss?
Now, I will let the "piggies" and "rebbies" argue about whether that was a step up or not, but I just never understood why?

i think the man can coach. too preachy for me, but i'm not a player. he's been there 3 years and has had 2 real good seasons. that's the best percentage i've seen at ole miss in awhile. if he keeps recruiting and can get a qb, ya'll are going to be damn competitive.

He got fired from Arkansas. That is why he went to Ole Miss.

Truth about Nutt.
He wins about 3/4 of the games he should win.
He wins about 40% of the games he should lose
He loses about 80% of the games that are tossups
and that will prevent him from EVER becoming an elite coach.
Nutt's story is that he loved Arkansas so much that he left the program because he didn't want to cause further damage to program.
The truth is he loves MONEY. That's why he lifted his skirt for every program that looked at him while he was here and will always do so while he's got any job.

I believe Nutt is a great coach but needs to have good assistants who can recruit. Give him the recruits and he can compete with and beat the best coaches and teams.I know Saban recommended Nutt for the LSU job.Ole Miss needs Ed Orgeron to head up recruiting as recruiting coordinator and then Ole Miss would be a National contender every year.Orgeron is a hella recruiter but a terrible head coach.

I can answer this by saying it's not that Nutt isn't a good coach or recruiter but it's more about the fact the Bama, LSU, ARK and Au are all better programs than Da MS Bears. Ya'll may occasionally beat some of those schools and have a good year but I just don't see OM as being able to consistently beat these teams.

Nutt isn't a bad coach, he's just not great. He's never going to get good QB play, he inherited Snead (which, after year 2 under Nutt folded).
Nutt should always have a good running game though, it's just something he knows how to do.
His play calling is suspect, and sometimes laughable.
As mentioned several times, he stinks as the favorite, and dangerous as an underdog.
As a person? I'd have a beer with him if he did such things. He does have a huge ego though so I'd have to limit his beer consumption.
