I realize that most of you probably don't give a darn what happens with Texas A&M, ever. But for some of you that might be the least bit intrigued by a possible move, and with all the mayhem that was taking place last summer, this article is a great take on the whole situation.

It was a good read. I am personally all for the aggies joining the conference.

If aTm joins the SEC, it might be rough for them the first 3 to 4 years but they would be great.

Great article. frick t.u. and their ways. I've never liked them before and the whole conference crap really put them as enemy #1 to me.
I like this line in the article:
"A&M was ready to dig in like Boss Hogg at the Boar’s Nest in Hazzard County."

A&M should have bolted
In the long run you would have been better off
SEC will not come back again with an offer
Any expansion on SEC side would probably come from ACC or possibly Oklahoma

if the sec expands it would seem they would want the texas market and ask A&M again.
TCU would be a nice add, would love to have some horned frogs

A&M may have called the Longhorns bluff but in the end, they still look like the Horns lapdog.

TCU would be better. At least they would bring a quality team into the SEC without the weird cult like A&M people.

+1. The trip to College Station for a game is a great one FWIW. Terrific city and great hospitality(unless you're a Longhorn).

read the board and someone mentioned am enrollement = LSU + vandy + somebody else (short term memory loss). Was shocked when I looked it up to see they have a 48k enrollement.
revenue sharing + texas recruiting + prestige of being in th sec + huge school = a very bright future fo them if they tell UT to go frak themselves

I want yall in SEC. Your Basketball team would give us a boost!

For those of you that want TCU, was that your preference before the Rose Bowl win?

I think the following would happen:
1.) A&M would benefit from recruiting by being the only SEC drawing card in the state of Texas. May not be good for us (minimally), but this would definitely help them load up on talent.
2.) Hopefully, they would keep playing UT and Tech, and start to pound them every year.
Would be fun to watch!

Yeah, they'd much rather Ok City / Tulsa than Houston / Dallas market.
I don't see much gain from ACC really. We pretty much have Florida covered and the market sucks the farther North you venture.

The Big 12 will not even add them so why should the SEC.
aTm is a perfect fit for the SEC if you are going to pick a team out of Texas.
