Florida may have the most overall talent when you look at their recruiting, but they have a new staff and a rough draw from the West (@ LSU, @ Auburn, and Alabama)

South Carolina returns Garcia, Jeffrey, and Lattimore

Georgia may have the best QB in the league next year in Aaron Murray, and they get a relatively favorable draw from the West (@ Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Auburn). Richt's back is against the wall.

Tennessee came on strong the back half of last season and has found a promising young QB in Tyler Bray. Like Florida, though, they have a rough draw from the West (@ Alabama, LSU, and @ Arkansas).

As of right now, I'm leaning towards Georgia with my pick. What say you?

Murray will be better next year, but how much better without AJ Green?

Is Garcia like a 10th yr senior? They return the most pieces from a decent team last year.

the East will be back. ut, uf and uga will not tolerate mediocrity. my pick for the east is florida. they have the atletes and their new coaching staff is gonna know how to use them. weiss was home run hire and muschamp will probably personally take over the defense a la saban. uga and ut will improve, esp ut. usc is usc; they seem to have a ceiling.

They're away schedule is brutal but I still give them a slight edge over Florida. That's if their big 3 can stay healthy.

I pick the Vols as the dark horse.

UT.

Dooley grooms himself for taking over Richt's job.

Likewise. Total pick'em but I have to feel like Florida will be getting their offense together with Weis at the helm and their defense is still solid. But yes, SC should be the favorite with most of their skill players back.

USC's road schedule is:
UGA
MSU
Arky
Tennessee

I think we lose to the flagship and beat Tennessee -- with UGA and State being tossups.

If we beat UGA, I think we repeat in the East with a 6-2 record conference (losing to Arkansas and a team to be named later).

It's probably a toss-up between Florida and South Carolina. I don't see Georgia being a ton better than they were last year. I don't see Tennessee winning in Gainesville or winning any of their games from the West, and 4-4 won't be good enough. We can beat Georgia and South Carolina, but that alone won't help do anything but play spoiler.

I still lean Florida.

I think it all depends on whether SC gets Clowney. With him, our defense is going to be stout. If Lattimore stays healthy, and Garcia looks for receivers other than Alshon occaisionally, our offense should be pretty good. I fear UF more than any other school, just because you know they have the talent. Tenn. is my longshot.

Tennessee's biggest problem may be their West schedule. Going 0-3 against the West seems likely, and it also would probably be enough to take Tennessee out of the East race for next year.

The SEC is going to be a cluster frick of parity next year. I can see all of UT, UGA, USCe, and UF winning it.

I'd take SC. Florida or Tennessee winning may be possible, but not likely due to their West schedules. I don't think UGA will be too good. Imo it will be:

SCe
UF
Tenn
UGA

2012 should be much better for both Tennessee and Florida.

I think SCar makes another run at the East again this year. Could be way off but they have a lot of guys returning and it may be to early for FL to turn it around. JMO
