SEC teams ranked in the preseason poll from baseballnews.com

2. Florida
5. Vanderbilt
14. South Carolina
15. LSU
25. Auburn

What does this baseball season hold in store for the SEC?

I was really surprised to see Auburn ranked when the polls were released. Auburn lost a lot of good bats and the pitching staff is mediocre at best

Our pitching is supposed to be out of this world.

That's about all I know so far. I'll start keeping up with it after the bowl season.

I've decided that instead of getting sloshed in the right field student section I'm gonna pay more attention to the game and teams this season, but still get sloshed in the right field student section

How much is the Auburn baseball program paying him? It can't be more than $15,000

State will be worse than last year, and that is saying something.

How do we know this. I can't say I've been following too closely.

I dunno about the rest of the SEC, but for LSU it'll be more of this:

Yep, hopefully we can have a winning season and make the SEC tournament. If we dont, this may be the end of the line for John Cohen IMO. You dont have 3 consecutive losing seasons at Mississippi State.

I was under the assumption that Routt is healthy, and the rest of our young pitchers from last year have improved (Stratton, Watson, Bracewell, Jones, etc...) We also signed a pretty good recruiting class as well.

Yall got a baller in freshman CJ Bradford. I know this kid personally and he is a straight badass. I will be surprised if he doesn't get significant playing time for the dawwwwgs.

Unfortunately I think the Hogs are going to be down this year. The draft really hurt us with Jr’s leaving and incoming Freshman that signed. The new bat changes will play into our favor since we have very little power in our lineup this year. I think we can rely on our pitching and defense to win some games this year since it looks like there are going to be fewer slugfests this year. Personally I hate the new bats, but it couldn’t have come at a better time for us.

Ive heard that CT Bradford will start in the outfield and will also PITCH a lot for us as well this year. He was one of the top HS players in the State of Florida last season. My cousin is a diehard State baseball fan and we had a long talk about ou 2011 team this Christmas. He expects a lot from Bradford as well as Darryl Norris a 3B/Pitcher from Fairhope Alabama who was the Alabama HS player of the year.

Whoa my bad, totally meant to put CT.

Yea CT's dad played at State with Raffy, Brantley, etc. He was going to State from day one. I did a strength and conditioning internship down in Gulf Breeze and had a chance to work with CT the whole summer. He has all of the tools and he is also a great kid. I hope he tears it up at State.

The only negative thing I have heard about him is his size. 5'8" 160. I hope you helped get this kid stronger and add some LBs. I heard he was our best new comer over fall ball. One of my buddies says he is a legit 20+ stolen base type of kid.
