Surprised they went there after offering so much for Malzahn. Should have gone for Leach or someone that runs the option.

Tennessee is completely different program than Vandy.
There are coaches that could average 7-8 wins a season at Tennessee that couldn't muster 3 in their best year at Vandy.

Vandy should have gone with a Triple option person, Navy's HC or OC. SOmeone who's worked with Paul Johnson as they could lean on him for help if there is a good relationship.

I agree, Navy always seems to compete, and they don't necessarily have the best talent.

They did not offer Malzahn $3 million a year. Probably more than this guy, but they even came out and said $3 million was way more than they would spend.
