First off...explosive. We knew that. Looking forward to next year.
"Noone has been offered a job in the country!" speaking on hiring assistants.
He has no timetable on hiring coaches.
He has not decided whether or not he will be calling defenses or not, says that depends on who he hires as DC.
He will be hiring a Special Teams Coordinator, stresses ST, and looks to be cutting edge with special teams.
Did talk about "INTANGIBLES!" (ala Saban) Good stuff
Will run a pro-style offense and defence, would like Coordinators who have both college and pro experience.
Will have a team Pastor
He will do things as he calls it "The Florida Way!" with the most emphasis on trust, respect, and communication.
Keeping Mickey strength/conditioning coach, first person he talked to at the University after arrival.
Florida will be a physically and mentally tough team and will be considered "blue collar over-achieving unit"
Will incorporate multiple scheme defense including 3-4/4-3/ and lots of man pressure.
Also said that as long as he is coach at Florida, Urban Meyer will be involved with the program.
********
All in all, I have to be excited, no need for sour grapes. I do not feel like this is all smoke and mirrors. I trust the man. Another strong family man, and think he will be a great football coach. Go Gators.

Sounds like a good one.
I figured I would respond to make you feel better. No one else is in the mood apparently.

So we can expect more of "God wants you to be a Gator"?

as opposed to "this is a god thing"

Better than Auburn's head coach talking about Auburn football as a "God-thing"

Thanks for the notes Man.
Good hire.
Good hire.

It'll be interesting. I've been back and forth on this. I think he's a helluva coach but this might not have been the best situation to walk into in terms of following a coach as successful as Meyer at a pressure cooker like UF.

Yeah, it's a shame Urban can't handle losing.

you don't get many opportunities in life to have a dream job... take it... with attitude and a winning tradition like Muschamp has, I think it is a recipe for success... maybe not inside a year, but eventually

Save for RB, I don't see a problem with the switch. The monsters they recruited on the OL actually get to really run block now.

Like the hire or not....simple fact is, Muschamp is a better hire than Dubose,Fran,Price, and Shula combined. That being said, he may still fail.

You may be right, but how do you know that? He's not even coached a game yet.
