I wanted LSU to hire this guy when Saban bolted. Time will tell if he can be a good head coach. It's a tough situation to follow a legend. The defense will still be good. OC is his most important hire..

For a first time HC, I don't see it as an issue. If we were to bring in Bob Stoops or someone like that, Urban wouldn't be around, period. I don't see it being a problem at all with Will and Urban. It's not like Urban is talking to him about x's and o's. Urban is there more for the support factor.

Didn't he say he wanted an OC with college AND PRO (OH shite I'M frickIN' YELLIN') experience. That was the lead for me.

He said it would not be forced on anyone and the pastor's role would be to serve as another sounding board.
Write a letter to Boom if you don't like the pastor idea.

Meyer chose to leave, and really doesn't have anything to prove, so I don't see him meddling with what Muschamp is trying to do.

Also, Urban wanted Boom here. He said he going to use him as a sounding board.
The new coach gets help with "the process" from the old coach.
Boom made it clear that it is his way.
It give the team a connection to Urban. I can see him doing what Terry Jackson does currently.
