say go for it. Don't be like those barner fans back in '57 that said, "Hey, I'll just wait for the next one".
We won't get as many opportunities as some teams. Feaking 53 years...
I know one thing... I don't regret going to the AU/UA game in T'town this year. My wife was happy the first half, and I was happy the second. (Never have I felt so good about being gracious the last two years in defeat. It was repaid twofold after the game this year. Ahhh, mixed marriages.)

Me too. I wanted to find the clip where the dude shrugs and goes "a mouth's a mouth," but couldn't. This worked, too.

If you can afford it, go. I still haven't met anyone that regretted spending what they did for LSU's National Championship games. I was fortunate enough to go in 03 and 07. Wouldn't trade those experiences for anything.

Apparently not much interest in the Chicken Bowl this year.

Go and have fun. Life is too short. You are right, you can always earn more money. Further, how many more chances will you get to see Cam play? If I didn't hate yall so much I might go. I'll bet just from a fan of the sport perspective, it'll be one hell of a game. But I have no doubts that Auburn will beat Oregon.

Auburn winning this game is gonna be like finding the hottest chick in the world at a bar, taking her home, and finding out she has a cock.
Aubbies usually consider that a win-win for them.

super you have to realize yalls title wasn't going to be taken away. 3k is alot to spend when you know in a few months its going to be taken away from you.
fwiw im not paying 500 bucks for a ticket to the cotton. frick that noise
I tell you what. Pay $500 and go to the Cotton Bowl. If Auburn's title is stripped at any point in the next 5 years, I'll pay for your Cotton Bowl ticket, plus interest.

I was in the dome for the NFC championship last year and it was amazing.
I was at home in NOLA for the superbowl with friends and family and all kinds of people. It was just as amazing being around all of them. Plus I wanted to be in NOLA the first time the saints won. I knew the party here would blow away the party in miami.

Go.
You'll regret it if you don't.
Think back to all the games of which you have the fondest memories. How many of them were in person and how many of them did you watch on TV? Life is nothing more than experiences and memories.
That should tell you what to do.

I think the fact that Bama was in the Rose Bowl may have made it more special but it's an experience I'll never forget.
Auburn hasn't won a national championship in almost 50 years. If Auburn were to go 50 more years there's a good chance most of us will be 6 feet under.
It's an experience of a lifetime. It's not going to cost you 1000$ to get in the game.
If you have to take out a loan, I would do it. Mainly because it may never happen again and you would be kicking yourself if you didn't go.

My costs so far for me and the wifey:
Plane tickets: $1100
Condo: $300
MNC Tix: Either $800 or $1800 depending on if my hookup comes through.
$2200 or $3200
Still gotta get a rental car and spending money. Figure I'm anywhere between 3 and 4. Gonna be worth every penny.

I'll be in San Diego for 10 days at that time. Going to drive over and view, from what I hear, one of the most beautiful parts of the country along the way.
As of yet I am purposefully not adding up the cost of the trip.
I'll wait for the credit card bill to arrive.

Yep, if you have to, just make it your only vacation of the year. Wouldn't be worth not going IMHO...
