I don't know about Luck, but he's better than Moore. If Mallett played in that conference he'd have 50+ TD passes, and would have thrown for over 400 YPG.

It's the heisman, in order to win you have to put up gaudy numbers and be in title contention. It doesnt matter that Ryan Mallett is better than Kellen Moore, it matters that Boise was in title contention until the end of the season and that moore had the best stats of the team

This is true, which does make the Heisman kind of a farce.

I totally agree, its a right player on the right team kind of scenario. I mean just look at when Jason White and Troy Smith won the heisman, neither was deserving, but both were on teams that would be in the National championship...though both would lose so, so much for that

Ahhhh, just realized who troy smith beat out too...it seems like a pattern

The Heisman isn't kind of a farce. It is a farce. If you really want a good measuring stick of the best players at their respective positions or overall, look at the Lombardi, the Maxwell, the Nagurski, etc. If you want the biased opinions of a bunch of old college players and ESPN, then the Heisman is just for you

it's really gonna piss you off whenever you see that luck gets picked before mallet in the draft too.

Nah, I can see that comin.

Its really gonna make me laugh when Napoleon dynamite (aka Kellen Moore) goes undrafted.

The Heisman is a joke anyway considering only QB's and RB's win it the vast majority of the time.

This thread needs a sticky IMO... because it is AWESOME
FWIW I agree Mallet is better than Moore... but I'm not sure about Luck

yeah because 6'7 quarterbacks have such a history of success in the NFL....

Why didn't T. Smith deserve it? he had a 5-1 TD/Int. ratio and did it all.
Just because he played like shite in the NCG isn't a reason to dismiss his heisman
