footwork is awkward as hell

He throws flat-footed a lot, for no reason.
He seems lazy regarding his mechanics.

I just don't see how anyone 6'7"
can move effectively

Mallett blows. They need to start Wilson.

Cam Newton is only 6 foot 6 but he's got a little spring in his step

Yeah, there are plenty of people that size who can move. Look at Lebron James. And Mallet is no Andrew Luck

will not be in the top 5 QB's taken.

Neither does Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady ain't exactly fleet of foot.

They're not fleet of foot, but they both have excellent feet and have great mobility as far as moving in the pocket and avoiding pressure goes. I really don't see that as a valid comparison.

Good point but you are talking bout once in a generation QB's that just happen to come along together.

watch mallett in the pocket he moves extremely well as long as he isn't forced to actually get out of the pocket

His numbers are off the charts.
Is he mobile? No.
But have some perspective here. He's one of the Top Qb's in America and very well could have been in the NFL this year.
