Serious Question about Auburn's potential forfeiture of wins.

IF the FBI can handle this business in the next month (I think they can) and IF Trooper and the Aubbies collapse as we have warned for the past two seasons, what does that do for the SECCG? Does that put LSU in Atlanta since Auburn would technically be 0-12?
Provided we win out obviously.

If LSU wins out and Auburn has to vacate their wins, yes LSU will be in the SECCG. That's a lot of what ifs...

I was thinking Saturday that Auburn should have let Cam rest and not play against Chattanooga. Just so when the hammer comes down Auburn gets to be 1-11 this season.

I hope they do get to the bottom of this and make Auburn forfeit their games in time for LSU to make the SECCG. I'd love to see LSU get a BCS title game opportunity. I'm curious to see how their defense would handle Oregon.

First, we have to beat Arkansas, and Ole Miss.
Second, I wouldn't be too excited if we went to the SEC championship game because Auburn had to forfeit. We didn't earn it on the field.

And if Arkansas wins out?

If Auburn forfeits everything, it won't happen in time to give anything to LSU this season. It'll be like 1987, when no one was given the SEC title. That's assuming Auburn goes on to win the SEC title of course.

I addressed that. I know there's a lot of what ifs but I'm just trying to confirm the rule I guess. I didn't know when it would take effect, the loss of wins.
I'm not concerned with Arkansas either, I'm just out here to understand how LSU can get into the BCSNTGC "ship" as long as we take care of business.
It's still going to be close if the top three remainders don't lose.

There's no way in hell the NCAA concludes anything in the next month. Remember how long it took to nail Reggie Bush and USC? It was like five years. Granite that was exceptionally long, but still.
I think it could be different this time around since the FBI is involved. I'm guessing their investigators probably work a little faster.

As of right now there's a lot of "what if's", but no one has heard the phone conversations. It's just a report, and I wonder, if they have these conversations recorded...why not play them? And you'd have to think that IF they do they would have been sitting on them for a long time...why all of a sudden are they coming out now?
Anyhow, back to the topic. Yes, LSU, if they win out, would be in the Championship game. As a matter of fact, even if you lose to us you would still go, you beat Alabama, and Bama beat us....so

if lsu d can handle ms st, fl, al, etc, and only loose to au by 7,
lsu d will shut down o.
o sos is way down the scale.
but, i always say: respect any opponent.

Hard to earn it against professional players, right?

nobody seriously want's to make it to any sort of championship based on AU getting disqualified.
We would NEVER hear the end of it. I get so sick of hearing how lucky we were to win it in 07, even though every team had 2 losses.
If georgia and bama can beat them and we win out? great. If not, i don't want any part of a tainted championship.

I think there will be a ton of investigations and covering of bases before any of the wins are vacated. Just look at how long it took the USC decision to come down. No way this is resolved before Dec 3

auburn wouldnt have earned it either since they are playing with ineligable players

Whatever. If Newton was ineligible all along, then he shouldn't have been playing. Any Auburn wins are bogus.
Those are the rules of COLLEGE football.
You have to take it.
