I laugh at douches that have a problem with it.
I graduated from the school. I donate to the school. I donate to the the team. Without the university, there is no team. Without students and alums, there is no university.
Therefore, I say ''we'' whenever I damn well please.

I knew a UK fan that used to tell me that. My response was that he might as well use the term "we" since he took UK B-ball losses worse than Tubby Smith did.

Exactly. I've always said "we", as well as all of my friends.
