I know I already shared this quote of the Tiger Rant, but I wanted to know what some fellow SEC ranters thought about it.
quote:

Jones' excitement for his return also centers around some anticipated battles with LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson, who's generating some Heisman Trophy chatter with his lockdown defense and special teams prowess.

"I am like a kid at a candy store," offered Jones, who had 6 catches for 86 yards in the opener against UT Martin. "I can't wait to play against him and expose him." "I watched film on them for two hours (Monday) because I was so eager. I am so ready for No. 7 (Peterson). I am ready for him. I watched him for a couple of hours (Monday).

"To be honest with you, I think a lot of people fear him because he is so big. He's 6-2, 220. He's a pretty good athlete. He has his weakness, too. He's not Superman. I am going to give him my all and it's going to be a battle come Saturday."

Ehhh...I don't think it bodes well for Jones. This is the type of talk a CB should have for a WR, not the other way around. PP is in his head already and I don't expect it will end well for poor Gerald.

I watched Patrick Peterson for a few hours too. I think I'm ready to take him.

I saw Gerald Jones play in high school, and haven't heard of him since.

Dude won't know what hit him. Won't be able to count the fingers he still has. I've seen Peterson in the one-on-one drills, BEAST!

It's not as if Peterson is incapable of being roasted, it's just if Gerald Jones, or any WR, can do it more than once or twice.

Two ways:

1) He bites on a ball fake or double move. This happens from time to time with him because he is so aggressive.

2) We're playing a zone and the QB finds a soft spot. We don't play a lot of zone these days, especially this year.

There won't be any. There won't be a need to interview Gerald Jones.

At least the QB knows PP7 won't catch the ball

i'm sure gerald fricking jones is pretty low on PP's list of wr's to fear. He has bigger fish to fry in Darvin Adams, Julio, and Greg Childs.
