If you're a good HS athlete and you're homeless/living in a shack

why wouldn't you consider Ole Miss?

Pat Willis and Michael Oher are pretty good precedents

Willis' story is amazing and less known the Oher's obviously. Supposedly Ole Miss promised they would give his younger brother a scholarship (which they did), but the younger brother drowned the summer before college. Willis' mom abandoned the kids and was a crack fiend I think, and their dad was an alcoholic. Crazy stuff.

Great story. But still don't get why black athletes go to Ole Miss.

eta....if any athlete was homeless and hungry I doubt they wouldn't consider any school as long as their current living situation was changed.
