With all the expirience and leadership that UF lost and The fact that idk much about UGA, what do you guys think?

I am just curious as to what you guys think and why.

Everything hinges on Stephen Garcia

they do have a shot, but UF still gets the edge in my book. They are still LOADED with talent, and Brantley is a 4th year junior

No, uf may have lost lots of experience but they filled it in with talent. USCe may beat uf but they won't have a better record.

I think they do because their defense is solid. The problem for SC is their OL but if Garcia makes good decisions and takes care of the ball they will be hard to beat.

Georgia has just the opposite problem: solid offense but questionable defense. All dawg fans are hoping Grantham can turn things around on defense.

the East will come down to the Cocktail Party in Jax, and heading into this year I give the Gators the edge in that game

A shot, yes. Is it likely, no?

The defense will be good enough. The big question is the offense, specifically the offensive line and quarterbacking. Garcia is good enough to win the East, if he gets decent pass protection (which he has never had) and the running game is good enough to set up the pass.

It will help if Florida and Georgia's new QB's don't pan out. Florida is good enough to steamroll the whole conference. The Cocks need both UF and UGA to have at least two losses -- or to win both of those games. I think we take UGA (no hope at the East if we don't), but UF in the swamp is mighty tough -- especially since Urban doesn't suspend his dope-smoking Cock blockers for conference games.

I believe so. They return 16 starters.. 9 on a defense that was pretty good, and an experienced QB. They've got the potential to make the run to Atlanta, but Florida is still the team to beat, and Georgia, while starting a freshman QB, still returns 10 on an offense that was pretty good last year.

Yes, if Garcia doesn't suck it up.

That's like asking "Is the Pope Catholic?".

No offense, but this may be the perfect storm scenario for SC to win the east. UF and UGA both breaking in new QB's and new DC's in the same year. UT is way down. UK & Vandy have a new coach.

It's the Year of the Cock.

I'd take UGA and UF over USC, but I'm sure part of that is just because of the perception that USC will blow it.

They have a legit shot, but I wouldn't put my own money on it.

Do they have a legitimate chance, sure. But Georgia/Florida will reign tall at the end of the year

SOS will complete his utter destruction of Garcia's confidence by the fourth game.

Book it. The guy's a headcase. Garcia, I mean.

I look at USCe the same way I do with Arky and Ole Miss when they are picked to do something out of the ordinary like winning thir division, they find a way to mess it up and until they do I have my reservations with them.

The other thing is Garcia, The Old Ball Coach does not have the complete confedence in him that the Head Coach needs to have in their starter at QB. He will have a quick pull as soon as something negative comes up or happens.
