The U of A report on Marcell Dareus has been sent to the NCAA and they are okay with the report. They want more information about the meals and who paid for them, but the trip and hotel are not problem anymore. It appears the benefits, if any, fall under the $100 range and would have to be repaid to a charity.

It also appears that Dareus will not miss a game because of the NCAA.

Saban will probably suspend him if the NCAA doesn't, but it will be short, and won't affect the season IMO.

For some reason, even with this new information, I still hate the NCAA and believe that Marcell Dareus is a dumbass.

I am sorry, this is knowledge coming from people who are "in the know." Nothing is official. I just wanted to pass this on from Rivals. Bamamag's free board has the same information being posted.

You don't have to believe me, but I know people in the AD who say that they are less worried about this incident than they were when Mark Ingram and Julio Jones went on their fishing trip. Saban is just angry with Marcell because he didn't go through Compliance like he should have.

Have you been able to find out from anyone who they think we will play in the NC game this year?

I need to find the airline and hotel he stayed in while in Miami. Benefits less than $100.00 sounds like a bargin. The story keeps getting better.

I very seriously doubt it, the only hotel near South beach for less than 100 bucks is one you rent by the hour with your friend you just picked up.

This is one investigation all parties better be honest or they're screwed.

Dareus' trip to South Beach cost less than $100. Man, I need to meet his travel Agent!

No shite...those are some friendly skies! Thank god he paid the whores with cash instead of putting them on the University credit card like Mike Price.

I'm sorry, but I am failing to see where they said the trip only cost 100 dollars. It says benefits were less than 100 dollars which means him or his family paid for the rest
