The gift that keeps giving....

LINK

The Titans on Monday filed a lawsuit against the University of Southern Cal and head coach Lane Kiffin for “maliciously” interfering with the contract of running backs coach Kennedy Pola.

The lawsuit was filed in Davidson County Chancery Court and it claims Pola breached his contract with the Titans after being induced by Kiffin. Pola, hired by the Titans in January, was hired by USC over the weekend as the school’s new offensive coordinator.

The lawsuit states “as a result of USC and Kiffin’s tortuous conduct, Tennessee (Titans) football has been damaged in an amount proven at trial.’’

Doesn't look like a big deal but you would think he would know by now or maybe he just thinks he's too cool for rules. He's certainly the unprofessional coach in college ball that I can think of.

Who thinks Kiffin will even make it thru an entire year at USC?

Just more bad publicity... The hilarious thing is that you can follow the USC message boards & see the exact responses & excuses given by UT fans last year... deja vu all over again....

I think this says more about the position coach, than anything. Why would you want to leave the NFL, esp. one in TENN(should freaken know better), to be a position coach on Offense under Lane Kiffen? Why?

Not a chance in hell USC comes out on top... The clause in Pola's contract is routine and pretty standard, so it's almost certain Kiffin and Co. just said "frick it".. Either way USC has attorneys that look over contracts, as well as Pola, which is why something so routine like this going down blows my mind.. They'll be handing over some bank.. I see a pattern of a man who doesn't have balls or a backbone, he should just turn in his man card and submit to castration.

I love it. Kiffin is the gift that keeps on giving! I hope they extract some serious monetary damages from the suit. Makes Kiffin look even more like an arse if that's possible.

He needs to immediately file for a change of venue, no way he gets a fair trial in Tennessee.

I do, but he will set that program back years more than the probation has. His presence will compound the probation by a factor of two to three fold.

I think they are crazy for aligning themselves with Kiffin while they are on probation. The USC job may very well be the job that ends his coaching career for good.

He will cause huge problems for them before it is all said and done. The guy absolutely does not know when to shut up and he is incapable of doing the right thing. I hate it for USC because they are better than Lane Kiffin.

Well Haden their new AD was on the selection committee so he can have fun with Kiffin. If The contract is as most art USC and Kiffin will be coughing up some dought, not sure how much they can get legal fees, and search committee fees back from when they hire someone else.

I swear Kiffin is working his way down to Orgeron's level of scum.
