of cash to buy all the Big Macs he wants..

OWINGS MILLS – The Baltimore Ravens hammered out a four-year, $3.385 million maximum value contract with second-round nose guard Terrence “Mount” Cody, reaching an agreement in principle Sunday night on the eve of players reporting to training camp.

The Ravens have booked Cody’s travel and he’s expected to formally sign the contract Monday in advance of rookies, quarterbacks and selected veterans reporting to McDaniel College. The first practice is scheduled for Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4, 350-pound defensive lineman received a 6.3 percent increase in his total guaranteed money at his slot, a figure of $1.595 million. That includes his signing bonus as well as a one-timer clause that Cody can trigger through minimum playing time requirements.

Like the majority of second-round contracts, the deal doesn’t include a fourth-year escalator clause.

Negotiations heated up over the weekend for the consensus All-American nose guard from Alabama, culminating in a deal Sunday night after the final contract language was reviewed.

Cody is expected to compete for immediate playing time at nose guard, where he’ll work in tandem with veteran Kelly Gregg.

The former Crimson Tide standout drew impressive reviews from the coaching staff and older teammates during the Ravens' offseason minicamps.

“Terrence is a big, strong guy who uses his strength and hands well,” said center Matt Birk, a six-time Pro Bowl selection. “He’s more than just big. He’s got a little wiggle to him. He’s impressive so far.”

Just gotta hope he doesn't go the Norman Hand route. He's got the body type that could get out of control in a hurry.

Waste of flesh. He'll be fat and complacent. Maybe last the 4 years, but seriously doubt anymore than that.

Just think about this for a second. The Raven pull Haloti Ngata, Terrance Cody, and Leron to block, while MaGhee(sp) or Rice follow up behind. How the frick do you even think bout stopping that?

On that team? Raven were the perfect place for Cody. Ray wont let him quit, he will make both him and Sergio beasts. Book It!

However long he "lasts", I hope he puts a bunch of money aside so he'll have financial security.

Good for him, hope he has a successful carreer. I'm glad he will have Ray Lewis breathing down his neck too, that will give him more incentive to be awesome. And frick you wildcat.

You get those two big bastards who aren't really trained to block and I'll just get someone quick to run around them.
